The test reviews for each chapter in Social Studies and Science can be found here. The students may submit answers to the Essay Questions to me (I will give them the deadline) and I will evaluate them and return them to the student as quickly as possible. In Fifth Grade, more is required of Essay answers. I have given a "hint" or two for each question so that the students can think through what their responses will be. Answers should never begin with because, it, they, so, he, or she. The best way to begin is to restate the question as a sentence, then continue the answer. As the year progresses, the students will gain confidence and skill in answering these questions. The Essay Questions usually count for about 1/3 of the total grade on a test.
